Blackwing Pearl verfügt über ein perlweißes Finish, einen schwarzen Aufdruck und einen ausgewogenen, glatten Graphitkern, der weicher ist als der des Blackwing 602, aber fester als der des Blackwing.  Die hexagonale Hülse ist aus Zedernholz gefertigt, das sich gleichmäßig und leicht spitzen lässt. Ein schwarzer, ausziehbarer und austauschbarer Radiergummi befindet sich in der ikonischen quadratischen Hülse, die praktisch ist und dem Stift einen unverkennbaren Look verleiht.

Blackwing Pearl Pencils

I bought these along with a pack of the Matte pencils to use for sketching. The Pearl feel similar to a 2B-3B softness and just like the Matte pencils they feel great to use and very high quality. Recommended!

Wonderful pencils

I've been buying Blackwing pencils for several years. The Pearl pencils are less soft than the traditional Blackwing pencils, can be sharpened to great precision very nicely. They are quite soft, so you can write or draw well but that does mean that they get used up quite soon. One minor point of criticism: I found that sometimes the metal brace containing eraser is a little loose. For me that has not been a major issue though.
