91.2 Plain Micarta SAK Scales

Micarta scales for medium Swiss pocket knives with a total length of 91 mm.

Due to the nature of the material, no two scales are alike. When fitting the scales to a knife, it is important to keep an eye on the applied pressure. If too much pressure is applied, the knife’s rivets will push through the Micarta and will be visible on the outside as Micarta is softer than metals.

Installing:

1. Remove all possible scale tools (toothpick, tweezers etc) from the original scales
2. Remove the original scales by prying them off. They should pop off pretty easily.
3. Clean the bare metal area if necessary and make sure your new DC scales fit perfectly
4. Apply two-component epoxy adhesive inside of the DC scales. Be aware of the possible recesses for scale tools.
5. Press the DC scales onto the Swiss pocket knife
6. Ideally use a pair of clamps or similar to ensure slight but constant pressure
7. Wait until the adhesive is completely dry, then you're done!
